The Isle of Wight Council is inviting interested parties to bringing a street food market back to Newport Harbour on a weekly basis.
The market may consist of up to 15 stalls, with movable seating and pop up gazebos for shade and shelter, all available for use on site. The stalls may operate from a variety of vehicles or from demountable tables set up under gazebos that must be put up and demounted on the day of the market.
Setting up can start from 9.00 am and be cleared by 5.00pm, trading can take place between 10:30 and 4:00pm. A trading licence is in place until 28th August 2018 (restrictions may apply during festival week).
Pitches can be varied from week to week as traders are booked. Responsibility for the setting up and clearing away lies with the successful bidder who will oversee and take responsibility for the organising of the site.
This is a fantastic trading opportunity in partnership with the Isle of Wight Council as part of the regeneration project.
Within walking distance from the centre the weekly event is showcasing the diversity of Newport harbour as a destination for leisure, tourism, retail and marine enterprise. The location is well-served by transport links. The Harbour is in an important location in Newport and the street food market is aimed at promoting the type of uses the longer-term regeneration of the harbour area might provide.
